Laura has been playing and teaching violin in the Houston area since 1990. She has performed in many orchestras such as Opera in the Heights, the Corpus Christi Symphony, the Symphony of Southeast Texas and currently the Houston Civic Symphony. Laura has taught private violin and viola lessons in Houston area school districts and taught orchestra in Pasadena ISD. Laura studied privately with Henry Rubin of Houston and completed her BA from UH in Clear Lake. She also received her Suzuki certification with Judy Offman of Houston. Her son (Alex) is a pianist and they have a group called Glissando. They like to play at weddings and other special events. She currently performs in the worship service with him at Alvin Lutheran Church.
