With over four decades of teaching experience, Pat Counts is a highly accomplished piano and organ educator whose passion for music has shaped the lives of students ages 4 to 84. She began her career as a private instructor, operating a successful studio for many years before expanding her expertise into larger music institutions.

In the early 1990s, Pat joined the renowned Sherman Clay Piano Company, where she taught group piano classes and quickly advanced to become the manager of one of their Yamaha Studios. During her tenure, she received several awards recognizing her excellence in teaching and her exceptional record of student retention.

By the late 1990s, Pat was invited to teach at a major music academy in the Houston area, where she served as both head teacher and payroll supervisor. Throughout her career, she has expertly prepared countless students for recitals, festivals, and Yamaha performance evaluations always encouraging confidence, musicianship, and joy in every learner.

Beyond the classroom, Pat has an extensive background as a church organist, performing for multiple congregations, and she has also enjoyed playing in various ensembles and bands over the years.

Pat believes wholeheartedly that music is a lifelong gift one that enriches, inspires, and brings people together. She is committed to helping each student discover their own creative voice and develop a strong musical foundation that lasts a lifetime.
