Joseph Tierney

Brief info

Teaches percussions instrument (Marching Band, Drums Set, Vibraphone, Marimba and Xylophone) and piano at the Teora school of music. He has been studying percussion for over ten years and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Oregon University in Music Performance. Recently, Joseph completed his Masters Degree from Sam Houston State University where he was both a graduate and teaching assistant. During his time at SHSU, he was the director of the steel pan ensemble and assisted with the BMB Drumline. Joseph specializes in keyboard percussion instruments in addition to drum set and piano. He enjoys exploring numerous world percussion instruments from Indonesian and Afro Cuban cultures. Joseph is a Private teacher for Humble ISD as well.
